Ex-Heroes by Peter Clines was my first book chosen -- it popped up on a list of books that were recommended to me by Amazon itself, and looked interesting, and was only $2.99 for the Kindle version, so I downloaded the sample chapters and checked it out. I bought the book before I actually finished the sample chapters. It was definitely worth the low price.
Finished it tonight, and it was good. I hadn't seen anything quite like it before. It's a post-apocalyptic world filled with zombies -- called ex-humans, or just exes -- and superheroes. Yes, superheroes and zombies. The author pulls it off pretty well. It all takes place out in Los Angeles, and the author clearly has a good amount of knowledge of the movie business and studios out there.
Anyway, it was a fun read and enjoyable. If you're a romance or relationship reader, well, it likely won't be your cup of tea, but if you like superheroes and zombies then you'll probably dig it. I bought the sequel already.
